Each original antique engraved image has fine detailed hand color, carefully heightened with gum arabic for artistic visual accent, all as issued. This unique little collection of old fish prints is composed of eight (8) excellent small printed images relating to icythyology (fish science). Scientifically arranged display of different fish species, each print hand colored in detail with artistic ability by an accomplished early illuminator. All remain in clean condition (see scans), nice age patina to images difficult to capture digitally, all worthy of display, gift-giving or as part of a print collection.
